Spreading Space Madness at C2E2

Last June, I wrote about how I’d found a new hobby in mutilating action figures in my basement. I’ve spent the months since diving deeper into this questionable behavior, hacking apart old toys and reassembling them into new mutations. I’ve been surprised to find that there are people who appreciate my Space Madness toys as much as I enjoy making them.  As a result, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be attending my first comic convention as an exhibitor,  landing in Chicago to spread some Space Madness at this year’s C2E2.

The kind folks of Nerd City have generously offered me a bit of real estate in their booth (#760) in The Block where I’ll have all the Space Madness figures I’ve created so far, including Imperial Spocktrooper, Ripped-Shirt Kirktrooper, Rx-DX Pharmaceutical Droid, and  Blue Snagglepuss with toe dent variant.

My C2E2 appearance will also mark the debut the latest member of the Space Madness continuum, the redundantly named, binary alien, Extra-Terrestrial the Extra-Terrestrial.

But wait, there’s more!  Mr. Spock and Mork  share their signature hand gesture as Spork, a fusion of the two iconic space-men. Spork is a C2E2 exclusive limited edition of ten.

In addition to the figures, I’ll be offering Space Madness t-shirts. and a Space Madness coloring book, so folks can color in their favorite scenes from the space opera that exists only in my mind, as well as a few other surprises.

I owe a debt of gratitude to Nerd City as well as Brad Rader aka Battle Babies, who was instrumental in getting into the Nerd City booth. I’m honored to share the booth with a myriad of creative types like Battle BabiesCamera VisceraFantastic Plastic Toys, GalaxxorThe GodbeastJB RoeJimbotKaiju KaosMan or Monster?
